From February 17 to 19, ABS Wind is participating in the Drivetrain Reliability Collaborative (DRC) Workshop, the most relevant technical forum in the wind energy sector, organized by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and the  Argonne National Laboratory (ANL).

Our CEO, Alejandro Pardiñas, and Project Manager, Keyli Mora, are representing the ABS group, strengthening our presence at this key industry event.

This forum brings together leading experts in drivetrain design, operation, and maintenance, addressing critical topics such as component reliability, digitalization, and maintenance optimization. ABS Wind is actively engaging with technical leaders, strategic partners, and industry peers, leveraging sessions, networking opportunities, and key meetings to continue driving innovation and excellence in drivetrain technology for wind turbines.

A special mention was made to Alejandro Pardiñas and ABS Atlantic Bearing Services for their commitment and leadership in the update of the Failure Atlas for Rolling Bearings in Wind Turbines, a project developed in collaboration with ABMA and NREL. This recognition underscores ABS and ABS Wind’s role in driving innovation and advancing drivetrain reliability through collaborative research and development efforts.

Our active participation in research and development projects, including this initiative, along with our ongoing collaboration with industry associations, universities, and research centers, further strengthens our presence within the innovation ecosystem. Additionally, our expertise in repowering projects, as well as the repair and supply of critical components, positions us as an industry benchmark, reinforcing our leadership in the wind energy sector.

We are especially excited to be part of this event, standing alongside the professionals, engineers, researchers, and technicians who push the boundaries of drivetrain technology and reliability—pillars of the technical excellence and innovation on which ABS Wind was built.
